Malayka takes candid, non-posed photographs of the subject in their own home, then immediately downloads the photos to her laptop for the client to view.

OIL PORTRAITS : The client and Malayka together choose several potential photographs to work from. Malayka returns with sketches of potential painting compositions for the client to choose between. Malayka then completes the portrait in her studio.

MONTAGE PAINTINGS : The client and Malayka sort through the photos, choosing a selection of 50 photographs that Malayka will incorporate into the Montage painting, which she completes in her studio.

OIL DRAWINGS : Several favorite photos are selected as potential sources for the oil drawing; in her studio Malayka selects one of the photos and completes the oil drawing.
